Thanx for such an eloquent synopsis Roi <g> ! A reader brought this up once before in an email he sent me, but that was right around the time IE 6.1 came out (which was totally buggy because of poor Sun Java integration with the browser, if you recall). I routinely test a number of pages on the Univ computers (running Win 95/98) and some NT boxes, but I've never experienced the browser lock-up that you note in your post even while in Beijing. Obviously, this is a problem that needs to be resolved on my end; as your comments are not a complaint about page style, but critical of an existing problem with page functionality. I don't know if I can tweak the script, so odds are I'll have to amputate it all together (which might take a few days, since it's on 30-40 pages). I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused, and I thank you for bringing this to my attention...
