Synopsis: Roi looks at the chapters. Roi notices that there are cool effects with the mouse pointer <which means Scripting>. Roi then seems to see that the PC runs slower than usual. She then looks at the CPU usage meters, and gets the obvious: --- The swirling colored dots gracing the mouse pointer eat up CPU cycles gradually, until PC bogs down and the need to exit browser arises. --- Turning off scripting removes the effects, but drastically reduces CPU usage. --- Conclusion: Any alternatives for this effect? *Roi being surprised at the info: almost 90% CPU cycles are wasted on browser window with the TrialByTenderness page* *IE 6SP1 crashes* *uses another browser* *reports same effect* -=-=-=- Other info: Pointer effects featuring faces of our cherished O!MG characters have not much CPU cycles consumed. Other info: Noticed this a long time ago, but studied it further, to the point of installing another OS and other stuff, to confirm this issue. -=-=-=- Pardon if my posting style hurts anyone. Thanks! «•Miss•Roi•Lorelai•»
